About Sea Solar Power

Sea Solar Power has been focused at bringing Ocean Thermal Energy to the world since it’s inception in 1972. Through private funding sources SSP has developed an optimized OTEC power cycle as well as the components needed to build a 20 MW power plant. We continue to test our proprietary heat exchangers, 4 MW hydrocarbon-vapor power turbine, and cold-water pipe design. We are seeking opportunities to build a prototype 20 MW plant with a projected electricity output cost of $0.22/kWh for the initial plant, and $0.13/kWh for subsequent plants.

Sea Solar Power is affiliated with J. Hilbert Anderson Inc., TRY TEK Machine Works, and Coupling Corporation of America.  These four companies are related in ownership and occupy their 65,000 ft2 manufacturing facility in Jacobus, Pennsylvania.  In addition, a 2nd manufacturing and fabrication facility under Anderson ownership operates in Hanover, PA.

Sea Solar Power building

Sea Solar Power is capable of manufacturing the key operating and proprietary machinery and elements in these facilities.  Under the envelope of the four companies, we have approximately 50 employees in engineering, machining, welding, assembly and inspection.  In addition, Sea Solar Power, JH Anderson Inc, TRY TEK, and Coupling Corp have developed strong suppliers for materials and equipment. We are familiar with the power, petrochemical, refrigeration, automotive, and military industries as our products are manufactured and sold regularly to these industries all over the world.
